Family & Friends in My Disney Experience – Frequently Asked Questions
Q:
What does it mean to be “searchable” in My Disney Experience?
A:
When you are searchable, other people can connect with you by searching for your first name, last name, and verified phone number or email. All they need to do is visit their Family & Friends list, select “Add a New Guest” and use the search tool. Once you are connected, you can then make and manage plans together.
By default, your profile is not searchable. To allow others to search for you, go to your Family & Friends list, select the “List & Search Settings” button next to your name and switch on the toggle next to “Allow others to search for you using your name, email and verified phone number so it’s easier to connect with you.”
If you choose not to be searchable, you and your managed profiles may still display as “Guests You May Know” to other people. This occurs if both you and one of your connections share your Family & Friends lists. In that scenario, their connections may be able to connect with you through “Guests You May Know.”
If you do not want others to find you or your managed profiles through “Guests You May Know,” set your Family & Friends list to private. To do this, go to your Family & Friends list, select the “List & Search Settings” button next to your name and switch off the toggle next to “Share your Family & Friends list so it’s easier for people you may know to connect with you and with each other.”
