Does MagicBand+ work with previously released light-up products?
A:
No, but MagicBand+ does allow you to experience:
- Haptic vibrations that let you feel the magic with light pulses that bring experiences to life
- Customizable light patterns (for a magical moment, just double tap the center of the band!)
- Gesture recognition for interactivity at certain locations
- Experiences exclusive to MagicBand+ such as Star Wars: Batuu Bounty Hunters and more!
These light-up animations with haptic vibrations indicate that there is an interactive experience nearby. You also can perform gestures to initiate interactive experiences!
As an example, when you are close to one of the sculptures in the Disney Fab 50 Character Collection, your band will twinkle white and vibrate, letting you know your band is ready for you to wave at the statue and spread Tinker Bell’s virtual pixie dust to make her friends come to life! Once you do, your band will pulse and light up letting you know it was a success!
What if my MagicBand+ pulses blue?
Quick Pulsing Blue indicates that your band has timed out. This notification can happen if you do not complete the expected action within the allotted time for an experience.
As an example, if you do not wave to spread Tinker Bell’s virtual pixie dust when your band notifies you it is time to do so, your band will timeout and show the quick pulsing blue animation. You can attempt to do the magical wave at that same statue again after one minute.
