Disney PhotoPass Service and Products at Walt Disney World Resort

Copyright Policy, Restrictions on use of Materials

  • All photos and other digital content captured by the Disney PhotoPass service (collectively, “Photo Content”) are owned and copyright protected by Disney. Please be aware that it is illegal to reproduce or distribute copyrighted material without the permission of the copyright owner. Photo Content, including prints and other products produced with any Photo Content, may not be reproduced without permission from Disney. Accessing pictures or text provided on web sites does not give you any rights to use them. Only the copyright owner, or the owner's legal agent, can grant permission to copy, distribute, or publicly display protected material.
  • Guests who purchase any Photo Content from Disney, or download or otherwise access any Photo Content with the permission of Disney, receive, and such Photo Content is subject to, a limited license for personal, non-commercial use of the downloaded Photo Content, as available.

Storage Policy and Photo Content Availability

  • Photo Content linked to a Disney account is usually available online within 24 hours after the Photo Content was taken. Guests must claim Photo Content before it expires. Except as otherwise indicated in these Terms and Conditions, Photo Content (including as applicable, such content captured during a Memory Maker Window [as defined below] or during the validity period for a Qualifying Annual Pass [as defined below] or an Annual Pass Downloads Benefit [as defined below]), as available, will expire pursuant to the Expiration Policy. We do not offer options for permanent storing of Photo Content. Expired Photo Content will no longer be available for Guests to access.
  • Disney reserves the right to remove or refuse to post or upload any Photo Content in our sole discretion, including any Photo Content that contains content of poor quality or that might be deemed to be inappropriate or offensive.
  • We are not responsible for missing, lost or damaged Photo Content.
  • Certain Photo Content may be provided, at your election, to select, Disney-approved third-party companies in connection with products and services offered by those third-party companies (collectively, “Third-Party Products”). Not all Photo Content is available for use in Third-Party Products, and Disney reserves the right to refuse to provide any Photo Content to any third-party companies in our sole discretion. Once certain Photo Content is provided to a third-party company, such Photo Content will be subject to the availability, storage, expiration, privacy and other policies and terms governing that third-party company’s products, services and site or platform. Neither Disney nor any of its affiliates shall be responsible or liable for such third-party company’s products, services, site/platform or actions.

Availability and Delivery

  • With respect to products offered directly by Disney (collectively, “Disney PhotoPass Products”), receipt of your order does not guarantee that we can supply the selected products to you. All Disney PhotoPass Products are subject to availability and we must therefore reserve the right: to limit quantities of products we supply; to supply only part of an order or to divide up orders; and to alter the availability and duration of, and to terminate at any time, any special offers. We will not charge your credit card unless, or to the extent, we are able to deliver the Disney PhotoPass Products to you as ordered.
  • We will use all reasonable means to ensure your purchases of Disney PhotoPass Products are delivered promptly but we cannot guarantee that there will be no delays in delivery, and accept no liability or responsibility for delayed delivery of products.
  • Availability and delivery of Third-Party Products will be subject to the policies governing that third-party company’s products and services.

Prices and Payment

  • Please note that the prices of Disney PhotoPass Products offered on the Walt Disney World Resort site and My Disney Experience app do not include sales tax, if any, and shipping costs which vary depending on delivery option and location. Prices are subject to change at any time prior to acceptance of your order and in case of a change we shall notify you and ask whether you still wish to proceed. Payment for products shall be made by credit card.
  • International Customs Policy: Prices for Disney PhotoPass Products do not include duties or value-added taxes. If assessed, these charges are the responsibility of the package recipient, who will be billed for them by the local Customs office. Please keep this in mind if you are shipping your order to a recipient outside the U.S.
  • Prices and payment for Third-Party Products will be subject to the policies governing that third-party company’s products and services.

Return Policy

  • Purchases of Photo Content may not be canceled and any purchase fee is non-refundable.
  • If you are not satisfied with the quality of any physical Disney PhotoPass Product you purchase, you may return it within 14 days of purchase and we will either reprint the product at no cost to you or refund the original purchase price.

Disney PhotoPass Lenses at Walt Disney World Resort

In addition to the general Terms and Conditions above, the following terms are applicable if you have purchased (including as part of Lightning Lane Multi Pass) or are otherwise accessing and using (including via your Annual Pass) the Disney PhotoPass Lenses product at Walt Disney World Resort.

An eligible mobile device with the My Disney Experience app is required to access and use Disney PhotoPass Lenses. To access and use Disney PhotoPass Lenses, you must grant the app access to your mobile device’s camera and location. Granting the app access to your device microphone is optional; however, if you do not grant this access, then your videos will record without sound. Granting the app access to your photo library is also optional; however, if you do not grant this access, then you will not be able to store photos and videos captured using Disney PhotoPass Lenses to your mobile device. The My Disney Experience app will process and, if applicable, store, photos and videos captured using Disney PhotoPass Lenses on your mobile device. They will not be saved to your Disney Account.

Select Disney PhotoPass Lenses in the My Disney Experience app may be accessed and used only at Walt Disney World Resort or within designated locations at Walt Disney World Resort (collectively, “Location-Specific Lenses”). Each Location-Specific Lens in the My Disney Experience app will identify the specific location in which that lens is exclusively available.

Your use of Disney PhotoPass Lens photos or videos is subject to a limited license for personal, non-commercial use, and neither Disney nor our service providers in connection with Disney PhotoPass Lenses (including, without limitation, Snap Inc.) confer any rights of ownership to you. Otherwise, your access and use of Disney PhotoPass Lenses will be treated as User Generated Content under our Terms of Use.

Note that the standard Disney PhotoPass expiration policy does not apply to your Disney PhotoPass Lens photos and videos. Disney PhotoPass Lenses are not included as part of a Memory Maker or Memory Maker One Day.

Important Notice about Attribute Lenses. Some Disney PhotoPass Lenses available in the My Disney Experience app use technology that detects the coordinates of key points on your face and/or hands (“Attribute Lenses”) in order to allow you to apply such lenses to your photos and videos. When using Attribute Lenses, your face and hand data will be processed on the device on which you are using the My Disney Experience app and will not be stored or retained. Attribute Lenses may be used only for your personal and independent use and no other individuals may appear in photos and videos captured using Attribute Lenses. If you nonetheless allow another individual to appear in a photo or video you capture using Attribute Lenses, you must read the disclosure in the My Disney Experience app to them and obtain their consent to use Attribute Lenses on their image, and you assume all responsibility for the use of Attribute Lenses on the photo or video of that individual. Attribute Lenses are not available for use outside of the 50 United States and District of Columbia or in Illinois; Portland, Oregon; Washington; Nevada; or Texas. Attribute Lenses may be used only by Guests ages 18 and older. Using and accessing Attribute Lenses require your acknowledgment of and consent to these and other important terms, which will be obtained prior to your initial access and use.

If you are unable to provide the foregoing consent, you will not be permitted to use Attribute Lenses, although other Disney PhotoPass Lenses in the My Disney Experience app will be available in accordance with these terms.

If you receive access to Disney PhotoPass Lenses as part of your purchase of Lightning Lane Multi Pass, your ability to access and use Disney PhotoPass Lenses begins at the time you enter a Walt Disney World theme park using admission media with an associated Lightning Lane Multi Pass entitlement and, except for Location Specific Lenses as provided above, ends at 5:59 a.m. Eastern Time on the date that is 45 days following such date. When purchased as part of Lightning Lane Multi Pass, your access to and use of Disney PhotoPass Lenses are subject to the cancellation, refund and transferability policies of Lightning Lane Multi Pass.

Disney PhotoPass Lenses accessed via an Annual Pass. If you receive access to Disney PhotoPass Lenses via your Annual Pass, your ability to access and use Disney PhotoPass Lenses begins upon the later of March 20, 2023 or your first use of the Annual Pass and, except for Location Specific Lenses as provided above, ends at 5:59 a.m. Eastern Time on the earlier of the day after such Annual Pass expires or is cancelled. When accessed via your Annual Pass, your access to and use of Disney PhotoPass Lenses are subject to the Walt Disney World® Resort Annual Pass Terms and Conditions. Offering is subject to change or cancellation without notice or liability.

Disney PhotoPass Lenses not part of Lightning Lane Multi Pass or accessed via an Annual Pass. If you access and use any Disney PhotoPass Lens other than as part of Lightning Lane Multi Pass or via your Annual Pass (as set forth above), the period during which you may access and use such Disney PhotoPass Lens will be provided in the information drawer accompanying that lens in the My Disney Experience app; and, if the lens is a Location-Specific Lens, your access and use of such lens will also be limited to the specific location identified in the My Disney Experience app.

Cinderella Castle Mural of Memories enables Guests to choose from select photos taken at Walt Disney World Resort by Disney PhotoPass photographers and associated with their Disney account, and to place a photo on a digital rendering of Cinderella Castle available in the My Disney Experience app (the “Memory”). The photos available for a Guest to choose for use in Cinderella Castle Mural of Memories will be determined by us in our sole discretion. We reserve the right to remove or refuse to post Photo Content of poor quality or photos with inappropriate or offensive subject matter in our sole discretion. We are not responsible for missing, lost or damaged Photo Content.

An eligible mobile device with the My Disney Experience app and a Disney account are required to access and use Cinderella Castle Mural of Memories. To access and use Cinderella Castle Mural of Memories, you must grant the app access to your mobile device’s camera and location. Granting the app access to your photo library is optional; however, if you do not grant this access, then you will not be able to store the Memory to your mobile device. Cinderella Castle Mural of Memories can be used only at select locations within Magic Kingdom Park. Memories may only be placed by Guests ages 18 and older who have provided consent on behalf of themselves and those featured in the photo to us to use the Memory. Valid theme park admission is required. Online registration is required.

If you purchased the Cinderella Castle Mural of Memories product in the My Disney Experience app, you will have up to one (1) year from your purchase date to select and place your Memory on the digital rendering of Cinderella Castle. Unused entitlements expire one (1) year from purchase. Cinderella Castle Mural of Memories purchases are non-refundable.

If you are a Guest age 18 or older with an activated Annual Pass and have claimed your one (1) Memory by September 17, 2024, you must place your Memory on the digital rendering of Cinderella Castle by 5:59 a.m. Eastern Time on the earlier of the day after such Annual Pass expires or is cancelled. When the Cinderella Castle Mural of Memories product is accessed via your Annual Pass, your access to and use of the product are also subject to the Walt Disney World® Resort Annual Pass Terms and Conditions. Offering is subject to change or cancellation without notice or liability.

The location(s) on the digital rendering of Cinderella Castle available for placing your Memory will be indicated at the time you select and place your Memory on the digital rendering, irrespective of when you purchased or received access to the Cinderella Castle Mural of Memories product. We may add additional locations and/or modify the capacity limitations on any location at any time in our sole discretion. When placed on the digital rendering of Cinderella Castle, each Memory will include the first name associated with your Disney account, recognition of select relationships with Disney (e.g., Annual Passholder, Club 33, Disney Vacation Club, Cast Member), a border and/or other digital graphics or elements rendered by us in our sole discretion.

Initially, each Memory will be available for viewing within select locations within Magic Kingdom Park using the My Disney Experience app by you as well as other Guests and users of the Cinderella Castle Mural of Memories product. We reserve the right to discontinue availability of the Cinderella Castle Mural of Memories product, and the ability for you and other Guests to view your Memory on the digital rendering, at any time; provided, that at the time we discontinue such availability and viewability, we will deliver to your Disney PhotoPass gallery in your Disney account a downloadable digital video including your Memory. Notwithstanding anything to the contrary in the expiration policy, your Memory will be available in your Disney PhotoPass gallery for at least three (3) years from the date on which your Memory was originally placed. Access to your Memory in your Disney PhotoPass gallery is not limited to Magic Kingdom Park.

Each downloadable digital video including your Memory is subject to a limited license for personal, non-commercial use. A still image of your Memory will be saved, without a digital watermark, to your Disney PhotoPass gallery in My Disney Experience, subject to the expiration policy.

Once your Memory is placed on the digital rendering of Cinderella Castle, you will not be able to modify, move or otherwise revise it. However, you may remove your Memory from the digital rendering of Cinderella Castle any time you visit Magic Kingdom Park and are able to access the Cinderella Castle Mural of Memories product in the My Disney Experience app. You may also remove your Memory at any time by contacting the Disney PhotoPass Guest Support team at (407) 560-4300. The digital video including your Memory in your Disney PhotoPass gallery is not able to be modified or revised, but you may remove it from your gallery using the My Disney Experience app at any time. If you remove your Memory, your Memory cannot be recovered or reactivated.

A MagicBand, or an eligible mobile device with Bluetooth® technology enabled for the My Disney Experience app, may be required to receive certain attraction Photo Content. MagicBands are not included with Memory Maker but may be purchased separately.

If you have purchased Memory Maker One Day, the Memory Maker Window begins at 6:00 a.m. Eastern Time on (i) the day you use the one-day theme park admission with which Memory Maker is bundled at purchase or (ii) if Memory Maker was purchased separately, the date of the photo selected on the My Disney Experience app or, if applicable, on the Walt Disney World Resort site when purchasing Memory Maker or when linking a previously purchased Memory Maker code to your Disney account, and ends at 5:59 AM Eastern Time on the following day.

If you have purchased standard (30 days) Memory Maker at the advance purchase price you must wait at least three (3) days after the date Memory Maker was purchased before your Memory Maker Window can begin. After that time, your Memory Maker Window begins at 12:00 AM Eastern Time on the date you first download or unlock any Disney PhotoPass photo or other digital content on the Walt Disney World Resort site or the My Disney Experience app, and ends on the 30th day following such download or unlock date at 11:59 PM Eastern Time. When purchased at the advance purchase price, unexpired Photo Content that are in your Disney account prior to the start of your Memory Maker Window are not included in your Memory Maker purchase.

If you have purchased standard (30 days) Memory Maker at the regular price, you do not have a waiting period before your Memory Maker Window can begin. When purchased at the regular price, the Memory Maker Window begins at 12:00 AM Eastern Time on the date you first download or unlock any Photo Content on the Walt Disney World Resort site or the My Disney Experience app, and ends on the 30th day after such unlock or download date at 11:59 PM Eastern Time. When purchased at the regular price, your Memory Maker purchase also includes all unexpired Photo Content in your account at the time your Memory Maker purchase is linked to your Disney account.

Except as otherwise provided for standard Memory Maker purchased at the regular price, all other Photo Content captured outside of your Memory Maker Window must be purchased separately. Certain digital content may not be available for purchase on an individual-item basis.

Memory Maker may be linked to only one (1) Guest. Only the Guest who has Memory Maker linked to their Disney account (“Memory Maker Guest”) is entitled to download or unlock the Photo Content captured during the Memory Maker Window.

Photo Content taken during the Memory Maker Window must be downloaded before they expire. All Photo Content will expire pursuant to the expiration policy. We do not offer options for permanent storing of Photo Content. Expired Photo Content will be deleted from the system. Each Memory Maker Guest will have the ability to view and download or unlock unexpired shared Photo Content from up to 25 members on their Family & Friends list during their Memory Maker window. In situations in which a Memory Maker Guest has designated more than 25 members on their Family & Friends list to share Photo Content, we will select at our sole discretion which 25 Family & Friends members’ Photo Content will be made available for viewing and downloading or unlocking. Memory Maker and the ability to download or unlock shared Photo Content is intended for personal use of the Memory Maker Guest only. Downloading or unlocking, or offering to download or unlock, Photo Content for the benefit of other Guests outside of the Memory Maker Guest’s immediate family (defined as a spouse, domestic partner, parent, child, sibling, mother- or father-in-law, son- or daughter-in-law, brother- or sister-in-law, grandparents, grandchildren, aunts and uncles, nieces and nephews, first cousins, as well as people who permanently reside in the Guest’s home) with whom the Guest is visiting or visited the Walt Disney World Resort when the Photo Content was captured, including for the benefit of any individuals on the Memory Maker Guest’s Family & Friends list, whether or not the Memory Maker Guest solicits or accepts any consideration or remuneration for such Photo Content, is a violation of these Terms and Conditions and the limited license agreement granted to the Memory Maker Guest. Violations may result in removal of all images associated with the Memory Maker Guest’s account and termination of the Memory Maker Guest’s Disney account. We reserve the right in our sole discretion, including based on usage patterns, to conclude that a Memory Maker Guest is in violation of these Terms & Conditions. Photo and digital content sharing benefits are subject to change without notice.

Guests who purchase Memory Maker as part of a Disney Resort Hotel package or as an add-on to a Disney Resort hotel reservation must link their reservation to their Disney account. Upon linking their reservation, Memory Maker will automatically be linked to the reservation’s primary guest’s Disney account. Guests who purchase Memory Maker in any other manner must link their Memory Maker Card number or confirmation number to their Disney account in order to use Memory Maker.

Your Memory Maker Card is a RF Device as defined in the “Radio Frequency Cards and MagicBands” section of the MyMagic+ Terms and Conditions. Please be aware that all RF Devices linked to your My Disney Experience account, including a Memory Maker Card, can be used to access other entitlements also linked to your account, such as park admission and touch to pay (if available). Please keep all RF Devices safe and secure.

Violations may result in removal of all images associated with the AP Guest’s account and termination of the AP Guest’s Disney account. We reserve the right in our sole discretion, including based on usage patterns, to conclude that an AP Guest is in violation of these Terms and Conditions. Photo sharing benefits are subject to change without notice.

In addition to the general Terms and Conditions above, the following terms are applicable if you are using the Disney PhotoPass video memories product at Walt Disney World Resort. Disney PhotoPass video memories uses select templates, as well as select photos, videos, visual effects, music, and other digital content, to create a video clip (referred to herein as a “Video Memory”). The templates, photos, videos, visual effects, music, and other digital content available for use in any Video Memory will be determined by us in our sole discretion.

An eligible mobile device with the My Disney Experience app and a Disney account is required to access and use Disney PhotoPass video memories. Online registration is required. Granting the app access to your mobile device’s camera roll and/or camera is optional. However, if you do not grant access to your camera roll, then you will not be able to include your personal media in a Video Memory or, if you have a Qualifying Affiliation (as defined below) or are otherwise entitled to access and use Disney PhotoPass video memories, to download a completed Video Memory to your mobile device; and if you do not grant access to your camera, then you will not be able to take a photo or video of yourself when creating and editing a Video Memory.

Disney PhotoPass video memory templates available for use will vary in length, media requirements, themes, and other aspects. When creating a Video Memory, predefined slots in the applicable template will be filled with Photo Content captured by Disney PhotoPass Service and linked to your Disney account, your personal photos or videos from your mobile device’s camera roll (if you have provided the appropriate permissions), and/or select Disney PhotoPass stock media. The number and types of media available for use will vary based on the template, and are subject to change in our sole discretion. Creating or sharing, or offering to create or share, a Video Memory for the benefit of other Guests, including for the benefit of any individuals on your Family & Friends list, whether or not you solicit or accept any consideration or remuneration for the Video Memory, is a violation of these Terms and Conditions and the limited license granted to you. Violations may result in removal of your Photo Content and/or termination of your use of the Disney PhotoPass video memories product, any Qualifying Affiliation, and/or your Disney account. We reserve the right in our sole discretion, including based on usage patterns, to conclude that a Guest is in violation of these Terms and Conditions.
