Direct-to-Room & Online Check-in Services – Frequently Asked Questions

Q.
What is the difference between the Online Check-in and Direct-to-Room services?
A.

Online Check-in is a component of the Direct-to-Room service, offering registered Disney Resort hotel Guests at Walt Disney World Resort an opportunity to simplify their arrival while still enjoying a magical Disney welcome. The Direct-to-Room service takes the convenience of online check-in service to the next level, providing an opportunity to get to the fun faster by bypassing the Front Desk and—upon receiving a “room is ready” communication—heading straight to your room, using either a MagicBand or the My Disney Experience app to unlock your door.

Begin the check-in process in advance of your arrival using the Direct-to-Room service on disneyworld.com or with the My Disney Experience app.
