Surfing Programs at
Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon Water Park

During Open Surf, you can join in with other groups who want to make a splash. Each surfer is guaranteed at least 10 waves.

Event Times

• Morning Open Surf: 6:30 AM to 9:30 AM
• Evening Open Surf: Begins 30 minutes after park closing and lasts for 3 hours

Please be at the Main Entrance to Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon water park 30 minutes prior to scheduled start time. It is important that your entire party arrive on time to sign waivers. Any delays could result in missing waves.

• Morning Open Surf: $270, tax included
• Evening Open Surf (Sundays through Thursdays): $295, tax included
• Evening Open Surf (Fridays and Saturdays): $335, tax included

Evening Private Surf end times may vary if additional waves are added to sessions. Evening events are able to book up to an additional 50 waves.

Pricing
The base price for Private Surf events (includes up to 15 surfers and spectators) is as follows:

• Morning Private Surf: $1450, tax included
• Evening Private Surf (Sundays through Thursdays)
  • Base Price: $1550, tax included
  • 125 Waves: Additional $300, tax included
  • 150 Waves: Additional $650, tax included
• Evening Private Surf (Fridays and Saturdays)
  • Base Price: $1750, tax included
  • 125 Waves: Additional $400, tax included
  • 150 Waves: Additional $750, tax included

An additional charge of $90 (tax included) will be added to each additional group of 5 people (or less). The additional charge (tax included) will vary based on the number of Guests, as follows:

• 16 to 20 Guests: $90
• 21 to 25 Guests: $180
• 26 to 30 Guests: $270
• 31 to 35 Guests: $360
• 36 to 40 Guests: $450

The maximum party size may not exceed 40 Guests.

• Photography is permitted during events and must adhere to the following conditions:
  • Event participants must use a GoPro camera mounted to the surfer’s head, chest or surfboards for photos taken while surfing.
  • No other brand or camera type is permitted.
  • Cameras should never be held in the event participant’s mouth or hand.
  • All photographs taken pursuant to this section may only be used for personal purposes.
  • No extended handheld device, including selfie sticks, or drones are permitted.
  • Spectators must remain out of the water—on the wave walls or on the islands. The only in-water photos permitted will be GoPro cameras attached to each surfer from behind the redline that runs along the bottom of the Surf Pool.
• Event participants and spectators may not bring any glass containers, alcoholic beverages, weapons or illegal drugs to the Walt Disney World Resort.
• Consent/Release forms must be signed by all event participants prior to participating.
• Event participants must enter the event location via the steps on the North Wave Wall, closest to the back wall of the event location.
• Stairs are for traveling down to the event location only. Event participants must NEVER travel up the stairs leading from the event location.
• Only one event participant will be permitted to surf at a time, except for the “Reverse V” (Center Peak) Wave, when 2 event participants may generally be permitted. Please be aware that Center Peaks are only available during Private Surf sessions.
• While riding the “Reverse V” (Center Peak) Wave, event participants must ride opposite faces of the wave. Please be aware that Center Peaks are only available during Private Surf sessions.
• Event participants must remain at least 10 feet from all side walls and must remain at least 25 feet from the back wall of the event location for the duration of their ride.
• Upon completion of any ride, event participants must immediately exit the water at the beach and return to the North or South Wave wall via the walkways.
• Wading in the event location by event spectators shall not be permitted.
• Neither event spectators nor event participants waiting to enter the event location shall be permitted to sit on wave walls or guard stands.
• Event participants and/or event spectators are not permitted near the red button on the Guard stand, as it will terminate event waves and take 30 minutes to restart.
• Event participants and event spectators shall only be permitted near the pool area. Any event spectators and/or event participants found in unauthorized areas shall be escorted from Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon water park.
• At the conclusion of the event, all event participants and event spectators must exit Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon water park and the parking areas.
• Conduct of all event participants and event spectators is the responsibility of the person that booked the event.
• Requested music for the event must meet “Disney” standards and should not contain objectionable material (e.g. profanity).
• Failure to follow these rules can result in the cancellation of remaining waves, ending the event without a refund.

Important Information

• Reservations are non-transferable and may not be sold or bartered.
• Guests are responsible for bringing their own boards and any other surfing equipment. Disney's Typhoon Lagoon water park will not supply any boards for your event. Please know that towels will be provided to all surfers.
• Guests may bring food and beverages into the park, but alcohol and glass containers are prohibited.
• Guests over the age of 18 are required to present a government-issued photo ID to attend this program.
• Camera sticks, such as "selfie sticks," and drones are not permitted into the park.
• Admission to Disney's Typhoon Lagoon water park is not required.
• Each session lasts approximately 3 hours, depending on the number of waves.
• Surfers do not have to surf all their waves, but missed waves will not be made up.

Payment and Cancellation Policy

• Full payment is due at the time of booking. Your event date will not be confirmed until full payment has been made.
• If cancellation is requested at least 5 days prior to your event, a full refund will be issued.
• If cancellation is requested within 5 days of your event, you will forfeit the full cost of your reservation.

Private Surf Event Details

• Center peak waves will be offered for evening events only and may account for no more than half of your total waves.
• Additional waves are available for evening surf events only and must be added no later than 3 days before your event.
