Annual Passes – Frequently Asked Questions


I purchased a theme park ticket. Can I upgrade my ticket to an annual pass?


Yes. If you have purchased an eligible* valid theme park ticket, you can apply the price of the ticket toward the cost of an annual pass.

Upgrading Your Ticket

  • 1-Day Ticket: Upgrade on the same day you use the ticket (Florida Residents, see special rules below)
  • Multi-Day Ticket: Upgrade through the last day of use for your ticket entitlements

Upgrading a Florida Resident Ticket
Florida residents have the following option:

  • Florida Resident 1-Day Ticket: Upgrade even after using the ticket—within 14 days of the ticket’s use

For all Annual Passholders: your pass will be valid for one year from the first day the original theme park ticket was used.

How to Upgrade
Use the My Disney Experience app or visit any Walt Disney World Resort theme park ticket window or Guest Relations location.

When upgrading through the app, first link your tickets by tapping “My Tickets”.

Upgrading tickets to annual passes is not available on or by telephone at this time.

*Examples of ticket types that are not eligible for upgrades include special event tickets, complimentary tickets and water park tickets.
