Direct-to-Room & Online Check-in Services – Frequently Asked Questions
The Direct-to-Room service is a complimentary service available to all registered Disney Resort hotel Guests at Walt Disney World Resort. The service is a convenient option designed to help Guests simplify their arrival while still enjoying a magical Disney welcome. Get to the fun faster by bypassing the Front Desk—plus get real-time room ready updates and even use the My Disney Experience app as a digital key!
When you use the Direct-to-Room service, you provide us in advance of your arrival with information typically collected during a traditional check-in at the Front Desk. On arrival day, you’ll receive notifications on your mobile device (based on communication preferences you have opted into) with real-time updates, including when your room is ready and what your room number is. When your room is ready, use the Resort hotel map in the app to find your room. Then unlock your door with your MagicBand, or use the Unlock Door feature on the app.
Begin your check-in to go directly to your room by linking your Disney Resort hotel reservation to your Disney Account. Once linked, view your reservation on the “My Plans” page and select “Start Check-in.” Or view your reservation from the “My Plans” screen in the My Disney Experience app.
