Recreation at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort features all the great outdoors has to offer: horseback and wagon rides, fishing, watercraft rental, hiking, swimming and outdoor sports. At night, Resort Guests can observe the Electric Water Pageant floating past on Bay Lake.

    Electric Cart Rentals

      Explore the more than 700 acres of Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort in an electric-powered cart. Daily and weekly rentals are available at the Outpost. Advance reservations are highly recommended. To reserve a cart up to one year in advance, call (407) 824-2742. (Fee applies.)

      Campfire Sing-A-Long

      Chip 'n' Dale's Campfire Sing-a-Long & Movie

        Every evening, Resort Guests can gather around the campfire for songs and fun (including roasting marshmallows) hosted by Disney's famous chipmunk pals, then watch a classic Disney movie under the stars.

        Bike and Watercraft Rentals

          Rent a bike and cruise around the wilderness. Or, spend time on Bay Lake in a pontoon boat, canopy boat or Sea Raycer. You can also sign up for professional waterskiing or wake boarding instruction at Sammy Duvall's Watersports Centre. (fees apply)

            Soak up the sun or kick up the sand on a white-sand beach along tranquil Bay Lake.

              Play a variety of video and pinball games at Davy Crockett's Wilderness Arcade at Pioneer Hall and Daniel Boone's Wilderness Arcade in the Meadow Recreation Area.

                Bring your tennis gear and hit the courts. If you'd like one-on-one instruction, private lessons are offered daily at the Grand Floridian Tennis Center. For reservations, call (407) 621-1991. (Fee applies.)

                Other Outdoor Activities

                  Work up a sweat playing volleyball, tetherball or basketball. Take it easy with a game of horseshoes or shuffleboard. You can even try your hand at archery.

                    Climb, slide and play at outdoor activity areas located at Pioneer Hall, the Meadow Recreation area, Creekside Meadow and the Marina/Beach area.

                    Electric Water Pageant

                      This magical aquatic parade of multi-colored fish, turtles, whales and Americana like stars and flags drifts past Fort Wilderness beach at 9:45 p.m. nightly.

                        Go down to the marina and reserve a fun-filled, catch-and-release fishing trip for the entire family. (Fee applies.) You may also fish in the many canals running through Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort.

                          Dog Park

                            Guests staying in pet-designated campsite loops can let their canine pals roam and romp off leash in Waggin' Trails Dog Park. Pet walk areas are also located throughout the campground.

                            Segway Adventure

                            Wilderness Back Trail Adventure

                              Wilderness Back Trail Adventures offer tours of the stunning surroundings of Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort on a Segway Personal Transporter. Guests must be at least 16 years of age for this 2-hour tour. Fee applies.

                              Pools

                                Go for a dip at Meadow Swimmin' Pool or Wilderness Swimmin' Pool, serenely situated among towering trees. Ask a Cast Member about planned pool activities for children. Be sure to try out the brand new water slide and hot tub at the Meadow Swimmin' Hole!
