Viewing Multimedia on the Site

This site uses extensive dynamic multimedia sounds and images. To best experience the site, you will need to install several plug-ins. Plug-ins are free programs which, when downloaded and "plugged in" to your browser, play sound, animation, film clips and more. To properly view this site, your browser requires 4 plug-ins: QuickTime, Flash, Shockwave and Acrobat Reader. They are available at our Download Center . Using Plug-Ins

Plug-ins are free programs which, when downloaded and "plugged in" to your browser, play sound, animation, film clips and more. Most of the plug-ins required to view Disneyworld.com are included in Internet Explorer and Netscape Navigator. Four are necessary to properly display this site:

Macromedia Flash - High-quality interactive and animated graphics, such as our maps, virtual tours, and other enhanced media.

QuickTime - Streams digital media quickly and easily.

Macromedia Shockwave - Rich, engaging interactive Web content.

Adobe Acrobat Reader - PDF documents.

Plug-In Trouble

Some plug-ins won't start working until you completely exit the program after downloading and then restart your browser. If that doesn't work, refer to the installation instructions for that particular plug-in.

Site Search

The keyword search feature on Disneyworld.com is designed to help quickly find your information. Here are some tips for optimizing your searches:

1. Be specific. The narrower the topic of a search at the beginning, the easier it will be to scan the results. For example, here are three searches of varying specificity:

• dessert
• ice cream
• Kitchen Sink Sundae

The search for "Kitchen Sink Sundae" will deliver the most limited and focused set of results.

2. Feel free to enter either single words or phrases. The following examples are all valid searches:

• Goofy
• Audio-Animatronics
• it's a small world

3. If you are looking for an exact phrase -- identical in phrasing, spelling, and punctuation - enclose it in quotation marks.

Here are some examples:

• "Cinderella Castle"
• "Cirque du Soleil"
• "Roy O. Disney"

Search ignores capitalization. "Cinderella Castle" and "cinderella castle" will produce the exact same results.

4. Use conjunctions ("AND", "AND NOT", "OR") to include or exclude keywords from a search:

If you want entries that contain certain words but in no particular order, type the word "AND" between them.

For example: crafts AND holiday

For entries in which any or all of the desired words might appear in the search results, type the word "OR" between them.

For example: Mickey OR Minnie OR Donald OR Goofy

5. Experiment with different keyword combinations. Depending on the nature of the intended results, one pairing might work better than another. For example:

• "Magic Kingdom fireworks" - returns entries with only that exact phrase.
• "Magic Kingdom" AND fireworks - returns entries that contain the exact phrase "Magic Kingdom" but also with the word "fireworks" somewhere in the text.
