Young golfers can develop their skills with a number of exciting camps and weekend tournaments hosted at the Walt Disney World Resort golf courses. Currently, junior golf events are sponsored as part of the 2009 Children's Miracle Network Classic Junior Golf Development Series. Dates, costs, and information about the 3 offered events—Junior Golf Camps, the 4th of July Weekend tournaments, and High School Golf Tour—are detailed here:

Details: Children ages 8 to 13 are invited to participate in a fun, active and educational 5-day golf experience that begins at 9:00 a.m. each day and concludes at 4:00 p.m. No previous golf experience is necessary, and all skill and ability levels are welcome. Junior Golf Camps are hosted at Disney's Oak Trail, Disney's Palm and Disney's Magnolia Golf Courses—the latter two being homes to the Children's Miracle Network Classic. Young golfers will receive instruction by members of Disney's PGA Teaching Staff, with emphasis on rules, safety and game etiquette. Other features of the Camp include:
Students are encouraged to bring their own equipment; however, golf clubs will be provided for those who need them. Additionally all students are asked to wear appropriate attire, including spike-less golf shoes or tennis shoes. Please refrain from wearing cutoffs, tank tops or sandals. As transportation will not be provided, parents must arrange for drop-off and pick-up within 30 minutes of the start and end of each session day. Lunch and beverages, however, will be provided. Bring your family to the 12th Annual 4th of July Junior Golf Weekend at Walt Disney World Resort to see if you and your child have what it takes to be this summer's hottest golfers! From beginners to serious competitors, you'll have an opportunity to put your skills to the test, and laugh and learn with your child in a rollicking golf-filled weekend. The following are highlights of the 4th of July Weekend, which takes place at Disney's Osprey Ridge Golf Course:

New for 2009! High school boy and girl golfers ages 14-18 are invited to take part in the inaugural High School Golf Tour at Walt Disney World Resort—a series of tournaments held at all 4 of Disney's championship golf courses. Weekly tournaments will take place every Wednesday starting on June 10, 2009 and ending July 1, 2009. A final Tour Championship will be held on July 8, 2009 to crown the first champions. Each player must compete in at least 2 prior tournaments to be eligible to participate in the Tour Championship. Weekly prizes and awards will be given to individual tournament gender division winners, as well as at the final awards ceremony following competition on July 8, 2009. All tournaments will begin play at 7:30 a.m. Course ranges will open at 6:45 a.m. prior to each tournament. Tee times will be scheduled 24 hours in advance of each tournament.
