Experienced riders can shoot the curl in North America’s largest outdoor wave pool before the park opens or after it closes. This is your chance to spend some time shredding it up.
Each 3-hour session comes packed with 100 waves—broken into sets of 25.

Private Surf Event FAQs
- Answer<p>The standard event price includes a maximum number of 15 Guests, including participants and spectators.</p><p>An additional charge of $90 (tax included) will be added to each additional group of 5 people (or less). The additional charge (tax included) will vary based on the number of Guests, as follows:</p><ul><li>16 to 20 Guests: $90</li><li>21 to 25 Guests: $180</li><li>26 to 30 Guests: $270</li><li>31 to 35 Guests: $360</li><li>36 to 40 Guests: $450</li></ul><p>The maximum party size may not exceed 40 Guests.</p>
- Answer<p>Guests are responsible for bringing their own boards. Acceptable boards include surf boards, long boards, paddle boards and boogie boards. Body surfing is strictly prohibited.</p><p>Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon water park will not supply any boards for your event.</p><p>Please be aware that towels will be provided for all surf events.</p>

- Answer<p>Food and nonalcoholic beverages are permitted.</p><p>Glass containers are not permitted in the park at any time. You are permitted to bring in coolers, which are subject to search prior to entering the park.</p><p>Alcoholic beverages are not permitted.</p>
- Answer<p>Yes. Guests will be able to link their smartphone devices to speakers in order to play music during the event.</p><p>All music must fall within Disney standards and cannot contain any objectionable material (e.g. profanity).</p>
- Answer<p>The duration of Private Surf events will vary.</p><p>Morning events are limited to 100 waves, which typically takes about 3 hours. Events will end 15 minutes before the park opens. Evening events will take place after the park closes and the duration is dependent on the number of waves scheduled.</p>
- Answer<p>You can choose between left peak, right peak or center peak waves. Center peak waves, also known as a-frame waves, are offered for night events only and may account no more than half of your total waves. They are not offered at morning events due to time constraints.</p><p>You may choose combinations of waves in increments of 25. For example, your waves could follow this order:</p><ul><li>25 left waves</li><li>25 right waves</li><li>25 center waves</li><li>25 right waves</li></ul> This will give you a total of 100 waves.

- Answer<p>Yes, your group gets to choose which direction the waves start (either right peak or left peak). As the session continues, the waves will change direction periodically.</p><p>Please note that center peak waves will not be available for Open Surf events.</p>
General Questions
- Answer<p>You and your Guests are permitted to take photographs during your scheduled event. Any photographs taken while surfing must use a GoPro camera mounted to the surfer's head, chest or surfboard. A surfer may not hold or put a camera in their mouth.</p><p>No other brand or type of camera will be permitted. Camera sticks, such as "selfie sticks" or drones are not permitted into the park.</p><p>Event spectators are allowed to take photographs, but they must do so from outside of the water.</p>
- AnswerThere is no age limit for Guests participating in Open or Private Surf events. Guests under the age of 18 must have a consenting parent or legal guardian present. All Guests, participants and spectators will sign a release at the beginning of the event.
- AnswerYes, a full refund will be issued if the reservation is cancelled at least 7 days prior to your event. If cancellation is requested within 7 days of your event, you will forfeit the full cost of your reservation.
- AnswerEvents can be booked up to 60 days in advance. Events cannot be booked within 2 weeks.
- AnswerDisney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park will monitor the weather throughout your event. If lightning strikes within 10 miles of the water park, the event will take a 30-minute delay. Guests will be presented options for continuing or cancelling as necessary.
- Answer<p>Disney's Typhoon Lagoon water park will communicate any mechanical issues with the wave pool or performance waves up to the start of and throughout your event.</p><p>If a mechanical issue is to arise, Guests will be advised on options for continuing, cancelling or rescheduling, when permissible. If the event needs to be cancelled by the park operations team, options for rescheduling will be offered or a full refund may be issued for the cancelled event if no dates are available. Dates and times of the event are subject to change.</p>
Pricing and Payment
- Answer<p>Wave pool rental is $2,250 and includes up to 15 surfers.</p>
- AnswerFull payment is due at the time of booking. We currently accept the following credit cards: Visa, American Express, MasterCard, Diners Club Card, Discover Card and JCB (Japanese Credit Bureau). Your event date will not be confirmed until full payment has been made.
Arriving to the Event
- Answer<p>You must arrive at the Main Entrance of Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon water park 30 minutes prior to your event time. Your Surf Event Coordinator will meet you there.</p><p>All participants and spectators must arrive together to complete consent forms. The Surf Event Coordinator must be notified if any Guests will be arriving late or leaving early. Guests may not enter the park unattended outside of park hours.</p><p>Please be aware that Guests over the age of 18 are required to present a government-issued photo ID to attend this program.</p><p>Please be aware there is no parking fee at Typhoon Lagoon water park.</p>
