My Disney Experience Terms and Conditions

Updated as of: 9/5/14

Welcome to the My Disney Experience Website or the My Disney Experience Mobile Application (collectively referred to as the "Site/App") for MyMagic+. MyMagic+ is designed to enhance your visit to the Walt Disney World Resort, and other operations within the Walt Disney Parks and Resorts business segment, which may participate in MyMagic+ from time to time (each a "Resort"), and provide a more immersive and personalized experience. The Site/App is your digital guide to the magic of exciting benefits and features that MyMagic+ has to offer. MyMagic+ is operated by the group of U.S. companies within the Walt Disney Parks and Resorts business segment of The Walt Disney Company ("Parks and Resorts Businesses," "we," "us" or "our") and is a service offered in the U.S. only. As we add more exciting features and make updates to MyMagic+, you can go to the Help Center of the Site/App for more information and frequently asked questions, which will continue to be updated as these features become available.

PLEASE READ THESE TERMS AND CONDITIONS CAREFULLY.

These terms and conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the Site/App. Not all MyMagic+ benefits and features are available to all guests, and access to many benefits and features requires the purchase of eligible park admission, a stay at select Walt Disney World Resort hotels, use of a MagicBand, and/or a valid Disney website account and registration on the Site/App.

By using the Site/App or by clicking a box that states that you accept or agree to the My Disney Experience Terms and Conditions, you signify your agreement to the these Terms for yourself and for all persons (including minors) for whom you are purchasing or otherwise securing MyMagic+ benefits and/or managing a Site/App account (your "Party"). You represent that you have all necessary rights and consents to agree to these Terms on behalf of your Party. If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use the Site/App. These Terms apply in addition to, and not in lieu of, the Disney Interactive Terms of Use. In the event these Terms directly conflict with the applicable foregoing Disney Interactive Terms of Use, these Terms will prevail.

Privacy

For information regarding the use of your information in connection with MyMagic+, please review the Site/App Privacy Policy, and the MyMagic+ Privacy FAQs.

YOUR PRIVACY IS IMPORTANT TO US.

To provide you with the features and benefits of MyMagic+, we need to collect information from you through our Site/App, and through your experience at our Resorts. Please review our Site/App Privacy Policy found here: http://disneyprivacycenter.com/ and the MyMagic+ Privacy FAQs of the Site/App found here: https://disneyworld.disney.go.com/faq/my-disney-experience/privacy-policy/ for details regarding the use of your information.

Site/App Registration and Travel Agents

You can create a Disney account and register on the Site/App to gain access to special features that assist you in planning your visit to the Walt Disney World Resort. You must be at least 13 years old to create an account, and at least 18 to use certain features on the Site/App. Travel agents must agree to specific requirements in order to create a Site/App account.

SITE/APP REGISTRATION AND TRAVEL AGENTS:

  • To access certain features of MyMagic+, you will need to be signed in to your Disney account and registered and signed in to the Site/App.
  • Many features of MyMagic+ and functions on the Site/App are only available to guests 18 and over. Guests 13-17 may register and access certain features of the Site/App. Children under 13 are not currently permitted to register on the Site/App.
  • If you are a travel agent, you agree: (1) to set up separate Site/App accounts for business and personal use, each with a different email address, (2) when conducting travel agent services through the Site/App, you are the cardholder for any credit card saved to your profile and you will not save a client's credit card account information to any of your Site/App accounts, (3) when making a reservation for a client who is a Friend (as defined in "Family and Friends" below), you confirm that the Friend has granted you the authority to make a reservation on his/her behalf, and that you will communicate to such Friend all of the relevant charges and rules associated with the reservation, including but not limited to credit card guarantees and prepayment obligations, and (4) that you will not use any information obtained by connecting to your client via the Site/App Family and Friends feature for any purpose other than to make dining reservations through the Site/App.

Family and Friends

The Family and Friends feature allows you to plan your visit to the Walt Disney World Resort with other guests. You can add family members and friends to your account and create a Site/App profile for them that you control, and you can also connect with family member and friends who have their own Site/App accounts. Family and friends share itinerary and activity information and can book activities for one another (like dining reservations and FastPass+ selections).

FAMILY AND FRIENDS

  • The Family and Friends feature allows you to assign or match MyMagic+ benefits and certain Resort products and services purchased (such as ticket entitlements) to your family and friends and plan activities for them (such as Disney FastPass+ selections and dining reservations).
  • To use this feature, you will need to sign in to your Site/App account.
  • When a family member or friend accepts your invitation, that person can see: your full name, your age (up to 18+), your character photo, your entire trip itinerary (or, at your option, just activities you have in common), your Disney PhotoPass photos and other digital content, and the first and last names and character photos of those on your family and friend list (at your option - you can elect to keep this private). Family and friends who are on your reservation will also be able to view your reservation information, and if they are 18 years or older, can view the remaining balance and make a payment. You can change these settings at any time.
  • Your family and friends will have the ability to plan activities for you and modify activities such as FastPass+ selections, without notice to you. FastPass+ selections made for you by your family or friends will count against the limited number of FastPass+ selections you may hold, and are subject to modification restrictions and expiration rules. Please see the "Disney FastPass+ Service" section of these Terms for details.
  • You can create a profile for a family member or friend who does not have his or her own Site/App account. You are not creating a Site/App account for that person, but you are providing information about that guest in order to add him or her to your family and friends list so that you can book activities on that person's behalf. We refer to those guests as "Managed Friends". The names of guests you identify as part of your Party when booking certain benefits (such as dining reservations) through the Site/App are automatically added to your account as Managed Friends. You may remove family or friends, other than Managed Friends, from your account at any time. You can also remove Managed Friends from your account as long as they do not have any unused entitlements or plans associated with them.
  • If you create your own Site/App account and connect with someone who used to manage you as a Managed Friend, the activities that person previously planned for you will be added to your itinerary, and the family and friends they approved to connect with you will be added to your family and friends list.
  • If someone you've been planning for as a Managed Friend has their own Site/App account, you can invite them to connect with you so that all of the entitlements and activities you have purchased and planned for them will be associated with their Site/App account, and you will no longer control their family and friend list or profile.
  • You acknowledge that by sending and/or accepting an invitation to become a family or friend, you authorize that family or friend to plan and modify activities for you, including making FastPass+ selections for you, without notice to you. We are not liable or responsible for the conduct of the family or friends you choose to connect with on the Site/App (including travel agents), including their planning or modifying activities on your behalf, or for a family or friend's use of any information you chose to share with the family or friend (including travel agents).

Radio Frequency Cards and MagicBands

When you purchase certain MyMagic+ benefits, you may receive one or more radio frequency technology-enabled cards or a MagicBand ("RF Device"). Your RF Device(s) may be used in one or more of the following ways: to enter the Parks (valid admission required), access your room if you are staying at a Disney Resort hotel, make purchases at select Parks and Resorts locations, redeem Disney FastPass+ selections and activate Memory Maker entitlements. Your RF Device is unique to you and the benefits you have purchased. You are responsible for keeping your RF Device safe and secure. MagicBands are intended for use in the U.S. only.

RADIO FREQUENCY CARDS AND MAGICBANDS

  • In order to deliver MyMagic+, we utilize radio frequency technology-enabled cards and MagicBands ("RF Devices"). Depending on the MyMagic+ benefits you have purchased, you and each member of your Party will be issued one or more unique RF Device(s), which allow us to authenticate the individual using an RF Device and the benefits associated with that individual.
  • Your RF Device may be used in one or more of the following ways: for entry to the parks (valid admission required), for guests of select Walt Disney World Resort hotels, to access your room, for redemption of your Disney FastPass+ selections; and for activating your Memory Maker entitlements. In addition, as described in the "Online Check-in Service" section of these Terms, guests of select Walt Disney World Resort hotels will have the option to use their RF Device to make purchases at various dining, retail and other select locations throughout the Resort.
  • Each MagicBand contains an HF radio frequency device and a transmitter which sends and receives RF signals through a small antenna inside the MagicBand. Each RF Card contains a passive HF radio frequency chip. Some of your benefits will be unlocked by "touching" your MagicBand or card to short-range reader touch points located at the Resort, including access to your Disney Resort hotel room, entry to a Disney theme park or making purchases at select Resort locations. For security purposes, you may also be required to provide additional authentication information to enable certain functions, such as a biometric read or PIN. The MagicBands can also be read by long-range readers placed in select locations throughout the Resort used to deliver personalized experiences and photos, as well as provide information that helps us improve the overall experience in our parks. Guests can participate in MyMagic+ and visit the Resort without using the MagicBand by choosing an RF Card, which cannot be detected by the long-range readers; however, certain features of MyMagic+ are dependent upon long-range readers, including automatic delivery of certain attraction photos and some personalized offerings are only available to guests using a MagicBand.
  • If you have a medical device and have questions about your medical device and RF technology, we encourage you to seek the guidance of the manufacturer of your device and your physician.
  • RF Devices are not transferable. If your RF Device includes park admission entitlements, it is a non-transferrable ticket and must be used by the same person on all days.
  • Each RF Device linked to your Site/App account or linked to a Managed Friend by you may be used to access certain other entitlements also linked to your Site/App account or linked to a Managed Friend by you, such as park admission, FastPass+ selections and touch to pay (if available). You are responsible for keeping your RF Devices safe and secure. We are not responsible for any unauthorized use of RF Devices. If your RF Device is lost or stolen, call us for assistance at (407) 939-4357.
  • Title to the MagicBands shall pass to you in the United States. If the MagicBands are to be sent by courier, we will deliver the MagicBands to the courier in the United States for delivery to you for receipt of and customs clearance of the MagicBands. The MagicBands are your sole obligation and responsibility once given to the courier for delivery. Consequently, you shall bear all risk of loss and shall be responsible for any duty cost, value-added tax and any other custom charges and expenses associated with the clearance of any MagicBands in the country of delivery.
  • To get answers to frequently asked questions regarding how the RF Devices work and your privacy, go to https://disneyworld.disney.go.com/faq/my-disney-experience/privacy-policy/.
  • MagicBands are intended for use in the United States only.

Online Check-In

Online check-in allows you to start the check-in process in advance of your arrival to your Disney Resort hotel so that you can simply show your photo identification at the hotel to complete check-in. You can also provide a credit card during online check-in to use for incidental charges during your stay.

ONLINE CHECK-IN SERVICE

  • To use the online check-in service, you need to be at least 18 years old, and you will need the reservation confirmation number, last name on the reservation, arrival date and name of the Disney Resort hotel.
  • Online-check-in service is only available for guests with reservations at Disney Resort hotels. Online check-in service allows you to provide a credit card to be used for room and incidental charges (such as food and merchandise), rental fees and other miscellaneous charges during your stay. The credit card that you provide during online check-in will be associated with your RF Device and will be used to make touch to pay purchases, as discussed above in "Radio Frequency Cards and Other Devices".
  • You can always change the credit card that is associated with your RF Device (that you use for room, incidentals, rental fees and other miscellaneous charges) at the front desk of your Disney Resort hotel.
  • Using your RF Device to touch to pay at designated Resort locations will create a charge to your Disney Resort hotel room folio, which will be settled to your credit card provided during online check-in or check-in at the front desk of the hotel. When making purchases using your RF Device, you may be required to enter a personal identification number (PIN) to verify your identity.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your PIN. You should not share your PIN with anyone. If you share your PIN with other people, you are fully responsible for their actions. You must inform us immediately if there is any reason to believe that your PIN has, or is likely to, become known to someone other than you or is being, or is likely to be, used in an unauthorized way.
  • Guests ages 10 years and older on your reservation will automatically be given charging privileges. Charging privileges can be changed at the front desk of your Resort hotel.
  • You will be required to accept the Online Check-in Service Terms and Conditions when using online check-in, which you can view and print prior to completing the online check-in process.

You can use this credit card to make certain online purchases, including select Walt Disney World Resort hotel room and package reservations, tickets, and dining reservations (for those locations that require credit card guarantees or prepayments). This credit card may be, but is not necessarily, the same credit card you may provide during online check-in or at the front desk for room charges and incidentals. Your Site/App Profile stored credit card is not associated with or used for the touch to pay purchases you make with your RF Device unless you also provide that card during online check-in or at the front desk
  • You must sign in to your Site/App account in order to add or edit your credit card information. You can remove or edit your stored credit card information at any time.
  • For your convenience, your credit card information will be stored in your Site/App account indefinitely until you change or remove it.

  • A confirmed FastPass+ selection is not valid for admission to any theme or water park and valid park admission is required to make and use FastPass+ selections. To make a FastPass+ selection for yourself or your friends, you must either retrieve a Resort package reservation including valid park admission through your account or associate valid park admission to your account.
  • Each FastPass+ selection will designate an arrival window to access an attraction, restaurant location or entertainment experience. The FastPass+ selection is not valid to enter the FastPass+ location before or after the designated arrival window or valid at any other FastPass+ location.

  • Ticket holders holding passes or tickets with block-out dates may not make FastPass+ selections for any block-out date without the purchase of separate valid park admission and assigning that admission entitlement to their Site/App account.
