Come one, come all—the Wanyama Safari and Dinner is officially open to all Walt Disney World Guests!

No matter where you stay throughout your Disney vacation, you can make the most of this exciting safari package at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge—available for $209 per Guest (ages 10 and older; tax not included).

Explore the spectacular savanna at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge—home to rare and fascinating wildlife.

Available daily, this 90-minute tour presents a unique vantage point for observing exotic animals. Each excursion is limited to just 12 Guests—so you can truly anticipate a personalized tour with an experienced guide!

The Adventure
After a pre-safari reception with the chefs and a cultural representative from Jiko – The Cooking Place, climb aboard a safari vehicle and get ready for spectacular sights as you embark on an authentic recreation of an African afternoon game drive, spread out across 46 acres of savanna.

During your journey, your knowledgeable guide will share little-known insights on the animals around you—all while giving an inside look at the history and management of the animals, and the architecture of Disney’s Animal Kingdom Resort too.

The Animals
Be on the lookout for majestic mammals and exotic birds that represent a cross-section of African wildlife. More than 30 different species live on the savannas!

During your adventure, you might spot:

• Giraffes
• Okapis
• Zebras
• Red river hogs
• Antelopes
• Ostriches
• Wildebeest

Be sure to bring your camera along to take advantage of once-in-a-lifetime photo opportunities!

After your thrilling afternoon safari concludes, savor the sumptuous cuisine at Jiko – The Cooking Place.

• This experience features a ride in a rugged safari vehicle over an open savanna. For your safety, you should be in good health and free from high blood pressure; heart, back or neck problems; motion sickness or any other conditions that could be aggravated by this adventure.
• Please note that expectant mothers should not participate.
• Check-in for this experience will be located at the podium next to Jiko – The Cooking Place starting at 3:20 PM, with a prompt safari departure at 4:00 PM. The pre-safari reception will be held from 3:30 PM to 4:00 PM.
• For men, the following dress code guidelines will apply during your dinner: khakis, slacks, jeans, dress shorts and collared shirts; sports coats are optional.
• For women, the following dress code guidelines will apply during your dinner: capris, skirts, dresses, jeans and dress shorts.
• The following attire will not permitted in the dining room at Jiko – The Cooking Place: tank tops, swimwear, hats for gentlemen, cut-offs or torn clothing. While T-shirts are allowed, the policy remains that T-shirts with offensive language or graphics are not acceptable.
• Guests must be 10 years of age and older to participate in the Wanyama Safari and Dinner.
• The Wanyama Safari takes place outdoors. Please wear appropriate attire and shoes.
• Admission to Disney’s Animal Kingdom park is not required for this experience.
• This experience may be cancelled due to severe or inclement weather.
• This location can accommodate most special dietary needs. Advance notice may be required and cancellation fees may apply. Please indicate any special dietary needs at the time of your reservation booking.
• The Wanyama Safari and Dinner is not included with any Disney dining plan.
• A portion of all proceeds from the Wanyama Safari and Dinner will be donated to the Disney Conservation Fund (DCF).
• Simba’s Clubhouse—the supervised children’s activity center at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge—normally opens at 4:30 PM. However, with advance notice, Cast Members will accept children prior to the normal opening time for Guests who are attending the Wanyama Safari.
