Hootin’ Tootin’ Hoedown

Scoot on down to this covered, open-air pavilion for a music-filled hoedown with some favorite Disney Characters.

Feast on an all-you-care-to-enjoy BBQ spread to cowboy rope tricks and the rootin’ tootin’ tunes of a live country-western band. Then mosey on over to the dance floor for line dancing led by Disney Friends!

Several times throughout the night, Disney Characters mingle with Guests for photos and autographs. Cowpokes may meet:

  • Mickey Mouse
  • Minnie Mouse
  • Goofy
  • Chip ‘n Dale

BBQ Spread

This neighborly, all-you-care-to-enjoy BBQ picnic features mouth-watering country favorites. Feast on barbeque ribs, smoked chicken, hamburgers, hot dogs with all the trimmings, corn on the cob, macaroni and cheese and more.

Sate your thirst with lemonade, fruit punch and soft drinks, plus complimentary wine and beer for Guests 21 years of age and up (proper ID required).

When you book Category 1 seating for Mickey’s Backyard BBQ, you’re invited to enjoy the following:

  • Early access to the Backyard Pavilion
  • Priority seating that gets you closer to the experience
  • A Character Greeting with Mickey and pals prior to the show
  • Plus, early access to all food and beverages

  • Please note that Guests who book Mickey's Backyard BBQ Category 1 must arrive at the Fort Wilderness Pavilion at least one hour before the show begins. In addition, Guests must be at least 18 years of age or have parent or guardian permission to call.

  • Prepayment is required. Cancellations may result in charges if made with insufficient notice. Specific policies will be detailed at time of reservation booking.
  • Celebrations can be acknowledged during the show.
  • Tickets are available for pickup immediately after reservation has been confirmed online at any Walt Disney World Resort Concierge desk or the event entrance upon arrival. Please arrive 40 minutes prior to show time. Specialty celebration cakes are available for an additional charge and should be ordered 48 hours in advance by calling (407) 827-2253.
  • The show takes place in a non-smoking environment.

Getting Here

Please read the following transportation information and directions well in advance of your reservation date.

  • As this experience is quite popular, we recommend you arrive 50 minutes before the scheduled starting time, with seating beginning up to 20 minutes prior to the event.
  • Guests Using Disney Resort Transportation
    Please allow sufficient travel and transfer time, as there is no direct route between your Resort hotel and Fort Wilderness Resort and Campground.
  • Guests Using Their Own Vehicles
    You will be directed to park at the entrance to Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort and Campground or—during major holiday periods—at a nearby satellite lot. Please allow an additional 30 minutes for bus transportation from your parking location to the event.
  • Guests Taking the Ferry from Magic Kingdom Park
    Allow up to one hour and 30 minutes travel time.

New Year’s Eve BBQ

Ring in 2018 with a festive BBQ feast, live entertainment and exciting activities.

Attend a spirited celebration with bluegrass music, a DJ, a video feed of Times Square and fantastic fun for all ages—including a visit from some beloved Disney friends! Be on the lookout for Mickey and Minnie, as well as Chip ‘n Dale.

At the end of the evening, sip champagne as you enjoy a breathtaking fireworks display.

Delight in a bountiful buffet featuring mouthwatering favorites, which may include:

  • A variety of meats, including smoked chicken, baked salmon, beef brisket and Italian sausage
  • Lobster macaroni and cheese
  • Baked potatoes and assorted toppings
  • A hot vegetarian meal option
  • Assorted cold salads, including kale salad, jicama carrot salad and roasted beet salad
  • Appetizers, including a cheese board, vegetable crudités, crackers, breads and fresh fruit
  • Kids’ options, like chicken nuggets, macaroni and cheese, hamburgers, hot dogs, fresh green beans and salad
  • Assorted desserts, like mini s’mores mason jars, cherry cheesecake and chocolate truffles

The New Year’s Eve BBQ begins at 8:30 PM on Sunday, December 31, 2017 at the Fort Wilderness Pavilion.

This event is $95 per adult and $75 per child.
