Plantation Junior Tour
May 26 - 28, 2006

The Plantations Junior Golf Tour offers a unique tour that allows both boys and girls between the ages of 8-19 the opportunity to play junior golf at some of the country's best golf courses and clubs during the same time college golf is played. September through May offers many different weather conditions under which the juniors can compete. During this time, the juniors are learning how to play competitive golf while managing their time for homework, travel, new courses, and new competitors. This does not leave them much time for practice, thus throwing another new element into their lives.

This tour will give the juniors an opportunity to showcase their talents and get the recognition they deserve at a reasonable cost. We are offering a junior golfers tour to quality junior golfers, playing first class golf courses by the rules, in a safe, organized atmosphere provided by a staff of professional, competent personnel. The PJGT is one of the nation's largest and longest existing of all junior golf tours, with over 100 tournaments each season in the United States, having been established in 1994.

OMYGA Junior Championships
June 10-11, 2006

The OMYGA program is designed to introduce minority youth to the sport of golf, thereby offering an alternative to other sports. This program is designed in cooperation with the City of Orlando Recreation Department. It is our goal that this pilot program can extend itself to be included in the summer city recreation programs. A maximum of fifty youth will be accepted in the program on an annual basis.

Through this program we will be able to influence in a positive way the lives of minority youth. Utilizing the disciplines required to play golf, we are convinced that with exposure to the sport these youth could develop qualities of character, self-direction as well as self respect and respect for others.

With over 100 current members and participating parents, the organization is family oriented while nurturing the professionalism and discipline required to play the game of golf.
