Q. What is the best way to get to Walt Disney World from the Orlando International Airport?

A. Some recommended shuttle, limousines and rental options from the Orlando International Airport to Walt Disney World Resort follow:

Mears Airport Shuttle is available from Orlando International Airport to your Walt Disney World Resort hotel. Shuttle tickets may be purchased at the time of boarding. For return to the airport, the shuttle boards at the entrance of every Walt Disney World Resort hotel. Make reservations 24 hours in advance and allow a minimum of two hours before flight time. To book call 001-407-423-5566† from the UK or (407) 423-5566† once in Florida.

To make arrangements for Limousine and Town Car Service, guests may contact Star Transportation at 001-407-888-5530† from the UK or (407) 888-5530† once in Florida.

Alamo Rent A Car, the Official Rental Car of the Walt Disney World Resort, is conveniently located at the Orlando International Airport and at the Car Care Centre near the parking exit of the Magic Kingdom Park. For Emerald Club customers, National Car Rental is also located at the Car Care Centre. Shuttle service to and from your location is provided seven days a week, Monday through Friday from 6:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday from 8:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. (Holiday hours may vary.) Shuttle service should be scheduled at least one hour in advance. Call 0870 400 4562† for reservations in the UK or (407) 824-3470† for shuttle service and reservations once in Florida.

A: Each of the Exits will take to you various parts of the Walt Disney World Resort. Some highlights from each Exit:

Attractions: Epcot, Downtown Disney area, Disney's BoardWalk, Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park

Epcot Resort Area: Disney's Yacht Club and Disney Beach Club Resorts, Disney's BoardWalk Inn and Villas, Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort, the Walt Disney World Swan and Walt Disney World Dolphin Hotels, Disney's Fantasia Gardens Miniature Golf Course

Q: What is the best way to get around within the Walt Disney World Resort?

A: There are many modes of transportation within the Walt Disney World Resort, including Bus, Boat and Monorail. A rundown of transportation within the resort:

By Bus:
Most areas of the Walt Disney World Resort are accessible by bus from other areas within the Resort, including Theme Parks*, Water Parks, the Disney Hotels and the Downtown Disney area. Buses travel on routes throughout the Resort and do not provide direct service between all destinations.
*Magic Kingdom Park is not accessible by bus from Disney's Contemporary Resort, Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa and Disney's Polynesian Resort. These Hotels provide monorail transportation to the park.

By Boat:
The Magic Kingdom Park is accessible by water launch from Disney's Contemporary Resort, Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, Disney's Polynesian Resort, Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground and Disney's Wilderness Lodge. The Disney ferryboats connect the Magic Kingdom Park to the Transportation and Ticket Centre (adjacent to Magic Kingdom parking).

Epcot and Disney's Hollywood Studios are accessible by boat from Disney's BoardWalk Inn and Villas Resort, Disney's Yacht Club and Disney's Beach Club Resorts and the Walt Disney World Swan and Walt Disney World Dolphin Hotels.

Downtown Disney is accessible by ferryboat from Disney's Port Orleans Resort, Disney's Old Key West Resort and Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort..

By Monorail:
Disney's monorail runs between the Magic Kingdom Park, Disney's Contemporary Resort, Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, Disney's Polynesian Resort and the Transportation and Ticket Centre (adjacent to the Magic Kingdom parking lot). A connecting monorail takes Guests from the Transportation and Ticket Centre to Epcot.

Q: What are the current US Passport and Visa requirements?

A: From 26 October 2004, all UK passport holders travelling to the US, including children, must have their own individual machine-readable passport otherwise a US visa must be obtained. Q: Is parking available at the Theme Parks?

A: Yes, parking is available at the Disney Theme Parks for an additional fee. Once the parking fee is paid, this will allow you to park at all the Disney Theme Parks for that entire day. Disney Resort Guests receive complimentary parking at the Disney Theme Parks for the length of their resort stay, with valid resort identification.
