Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort opened on October 1, 1988.
Soak up the sun and relax on one of the many white-sand beaches. The Resort is called Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort for a reason—the beaches around Barefoot Bay define the look of the property and give everything a festive flair. Swimming is prohibited in Barefoot Bay, but there are plenty of watercraft available if you want to get out onto the water.
Rent a bike or surrey for a leisurely ride around the lakeside promenade.

Play a variety of video and pinball games at the Goombay Games Arcade high-tech game room located inside the Old Port Royale complex.
Take a scenic 1.4-mile run, walk or stroll around Barefoot Bay along the trail at Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort.
Climb, slide and play to your heart's content at Parrot Cay island—a full acre of fun in the middle of Barefoot Bay—and on the village playgrounds located on the white-sand beaches of Barbados, Jamaica and Trinidad.
Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort Hotel has 6 heated pools located throughout the island villages. The main pool complex at Old Port Royale is a swashbuckling aquatic adventure themed like a colonial Spanish fortress, Fuentes del Morro Fort. The pool features zero-depth-entry, water cannons, two 12-person spas and 2 water slides—including an 82-foot-long slide that zips through the inside of the fort. The adjacent children's water play area includes squirt hoses, a large bucket that pours water from above and 3 additional waters slides.
Join a friendly beach volleyball match at the lakeside court.
