Transportation at Walt Disney World Resort

There's no need to rent a car or deal with the hassle of driving and parking during your Disney vacation.

Complimentary transportation is one of the many benefits to Guests staying at a Walt Disney World Resort hotel.

Stay at a select Walt Disney World Resort hotel and enjoy our complimentary transportation service, called Disney's Magical Express, which will:

  • Transport you from Orlando Airport to your Disney Resort hotel in an air-conditioned motor coach
  • Collect your baggage from the airport
  • Deliver your bags to your Disney Resort hotel room within 3 hours after you check in
  • Transport you and your bags back to the airport at the end of your vacation

Complimentary Resort Transportation

Most areas throughout Walt Disney World Resort, including Disney Theme Parks, Disney Water Parks, Resort hotels, the Downtown Disney area, Disney′s BoardWalk and Disney′s Wide World of Sports Complex, are accessible by bus. Some bus routes may require transfer from one bus to another.

Complimentary transportation is available one hour prior to Disney Theme Park opening time up to 3 hours after Disney Theme Park closing time. Additionally, buses operate until 3:00 a.m. from the Downtown Disney area.

In addition to buses, destinations throughout Walt Disney World Resort are accessible by boats (sometimes called water taxi) and the monorail. Certain areas within Walt Disney World Resort are also connected by well-lit, paved, low-grade walking paths.

How the Walt Disney World Resort Complimentary Transportation System Works:

  1. Upon checking into your Walt Disney World Resort hotel, ask the Front Desk for a Walt Disney World Resort Transportation brochure.

  2. Stop by one of the convenient and well-marked pick-up points at your Disney Resort hotel—and throughout Walt Disney World Resort—and, usually within minutes, your ride will arrive ready to transport you throughout the Resort. Keep in mind that certain destinations are not direct, and may require a transfer from one route to another.

Bus

Most areas throughout Walt Disney World Resort, including Disney Theme Parks, Disney Water Parks, Resort hotels and the Downtown Disney Area, are accessible by bus. Some bus routes may require transfer from one bus to another.

Magic Kingdom theme park is accessible by water launch (also known as water taxi) from:

Ferryboats connect Magic Kingdom theme park to the Transportation and Ticket Center.
