Puppeteer Michael Curry who worked on Broadway's The Lion King and Disney's Tapestry of Dreams parade lent his talents to the design of the parade's puppet stars.
Mickey's Jammin' Jungle Parade features popular Disney Characters as they pay tribute to the wild spirit of their animal friends in a 15-minute, high-energy, afternoon procession that loops through the various areas—Africa, Discovery Island, Asia, and back to Africa—of Disney's Animal Kingdom theme park.
Rafiki, the mandrill from Disney's animated film, The Lion King, leads Mickey's Jammin' Jungle Parade in a brightly painted Adventure Rover. Following behind him are Minnie Mouse, Donald Duck and Goofy in customized Jeeps that are cleverly decorated to match each Character's personality.
The streets in Disney's Animal Kingdom theme park come alive during Mickey's Jammin' Jungle Parade with music and more colorfully-costumed performers, including:
- Elaborate animal puppets
- Spectacular stiltwalkers
- Dynamic drummers
- Musical safari vehicles
- Wacky ricksaw taxis
A troupe of 8-foot-tall Party Animals, part of the energetic Party Patrol, get you in on the action by conducting call-and-response sing-alongs and encouraging you to dance to the wild music.
The magnificent menagerie of Mickey's Jammin' Jungle Parade concludes its spectacular celebration of the entire animal kingdom with farewell waves from Mickey Mouse and the Bon Voyage Caravan.

Quick Tips
- For a prime viewing position during parades and shows, arrive early. Check the Times Guide and map for each Disney Theme Park for show times and for parade routes.
- For daily show times and updated attraction wait times, check the Disney's Animal Kingdom theme park "tip board" in the Discovery Island area, near the Tree of Life attraction. The Tip Boards are marked with a white, capital T in a black circle on your Park map.
- Meet popular Disney Characters, pose for photos and collect autographs during special meals at certain restaurants throughout Walt Disney World Resort. To find meals hosted by Disney Characters, search the Disney Dining Finder for Character Dining Experiences. Many meal times fill up quickly and require advance reservations. Book online or phone (407) WDW-DINE or (407) 939-3463 up to 180 days in advance. Guests under age 18 must have parent or guardian permission to call.
- Single and double-passenger strollers are available to rent at Disney Theme Parks. Quantities are limited and subject to availability. The Length of Stay Rental Ticket Option allows for multiple-day rentals. Baby Care Centers, where you can change and feed your baby, are located within each Theme Park.
