Kilimanjaro Safaris is the largest attraction at any Disney Theme Park.
Kilimanjaro Safaris Expedition, an attraction for Guests of all ages, provides the chance to see African animals including giraffes, black rhinos and lions, as they roam the 100-acre savanna in the Africa area of Disney's Animal Kingdom theme park.
The Kilimanjaro Safaris Expedition tour begins in the Harambe Wildlife Reserve, across the river from Discovery Island. Climb aboard a rugged open-sided safari vehicle for an exciting expedition through the wildlife preserve. The ride can be a bit bumpy as it crosses rickety bridges, rocky hills and rivers—but you're rewarded with spectacular animal sightings.
Since animals have minds of their own, no two Kilimanjaro Safari experiences are the same. You may even catch a glimpse of one of the many baby animals that were recently born at Disney's Animal Kingdom theme park.

Guest Policies
- Due to the nature of the experience, Guests with service animals should check with a host or hostess for attraction and boarding information at this attraction.
- Flash photography not allowed.
- Guests must transfer from their motorized scooter or ECV to an available wheelchair to experience the attraction.
- Handheld Captioning is available at this attraction. Please visit Guest Relations to obtain a device.
- For safety, you should be in good health and free from high blood pressure, heart, back or neck problems, motion sickness or other conditions that could be aggravated by this adventure.
- Guests with young children may take turns experiencing attractions. See a Cast Member for additional information.
- Guests may rent attraction translation device units at Guest Relations locations in the Theme Parks with a refundable deposit.
- Disney's FASTPASS service, a reservation system that reduces time spent in line, is available for this attraction.
- Expectant mothers should not ride.
- Video Captioning is available on selected monitors in this attraction. Please visit Guest Relations to obtain an activator.
Supervise children at all times. Children under age 7 years must be accompanied by a person age 14 years or older.
- Assistive Listening Receivers, which amplify the audio, may be used at this location. Please visit Guest Relations to obtain a receiver.

Quick Tips

- Avoid crowds and long lines, board some of the more popular attractions faster and experience more time in select Disney Theme Parks during special extended Park hours, called Extra Magic Hours. Each day, one of the Theme Parks opens an hour early or stays open up to 3 hours after regular Park closing, as one of the many benefits to Guests staying at a Walt Disney World Resort hotel.
- To reduce the time spent in line at new attractions, arrive at Disney′s Animal Kingdom theme park early and get a Disney′s FASTPASS reservation ticket.
- Some attractions offer a Rider Swap option. Rider Swap is when Guests take turns waiting with youngsters too small to ride a certain attraction then "swapping" with another Guest from their party to experience the ride without standing in line twice. See a Cast Member for additional information.
- Single and double-passenger strollers are available to rent at Disney Theme Parks. Quantities are limited and subject to availability. The Length of Stay Rental Ticket Option allows for multiple-day rentals. Baby Care Centers, where you can change and feed your baby, are located within each Theme Park.
