Watch the drama unfold as defending champion Davis Love III attempts to hold his title and prove that he still has the magic. With his win at the 2008 Children's Miracle Network Classic, Love was able to accomplish a lifetime exemption on the PGA TOUR for achieving his 20th career victory while being on TOUR for over 15 years.
The Event's History
2009 will mark the 39th year of the PGA TOUR event at Walt Disney World Resort, which returns to the award-winning Disney's Magnolia and Disney's Palm Golf Courses. Be a part of the longest running PGA TOUR event in Central Florida—a historic tournament that began with 3 consecutive wins by Jack Nicklaus in 1971, 1972 and 1973. The Children's Miracle Network Classic also continues to attract the best players in the world to Orlando each year; in its history, it has crowned such champions as Tiger Woods, Vijay Singh, Payne Stewart and Mark O'Meara.
The Kodak Challenge – Opportunities for Players to Win
All year long PGA Tour players have had the opportunity to compete to win the Kodak Challenge. Kodak selected 30 holes from different PGA Tour Golf Courses. The 17th hole at Disney's Magnolia Golf Course is the 30th and final hole to be played in the Challenge.
To be eligible to win, a player has had to play at least 18 of the 30 holes. The player with the lowest cumulative score in relation to par will win. The winner of the Kodak Challenge will be awarded $1 million.
Wine & Dine Walk
For the first time in tournament history, Walt Disney World Resort hotel chefs and the Children's Miracle Network Classic are joining forces to produce a unique event. Five stations will be placed along the back 9 holes of Disney's Magnolia Golf Course in a progressive pattern that allows spectators to watch golfers tee off while savoring these delectable, one-of-a-kind experiences:
Please note that the Wine & Dine stations will only accept cash or Disney Gift Cards. Be sure to pick up a Disney Gift Card as you enter the tournament. You can visit any merchandise location or the ticket booth at the entrance. All of the food and wine will range in price from $3.25 to $7.50.
