Find answers to commonly asked questions about our championship golf courses.

Which course  is the easiest and which is the hardest?

The 4 championship golf courses at the  Walt Disney World Resort are all beautiful, full-sized, 18-hole layouts playing to a par of 72. Each is suitable for golfers of all skill levels.

Back to Question List

Is there a course that is friendlier for women, seniors and juniors to play?

With 3 to 4 sets of tee markers on each hole on each course, every player can enjoy a course yardage and level of challenge suited to individual playing ability. Players of all calibers can enjoy all 4 courses.

Back to Question List

Is there a course that is friendlier for beginners to play?

For beginner and novice golfers, we recommend the shorter and more tranquil experience on Disney's Oak Trail Golf Course . This 9-hole walking course provides beginning golfers, unskilled golfers and families with smaller children a more enjoyable golf experience. It is a great place to improve your game.

Back to Question List

Which courses host the PGA TOUR event?

Disney′s Palm Course Golf Course and Disney′s Magnolia Golf Course are both played every year on the PGA TOUR players. The pros alternate on the 2 courses on Thursday and Friday as they play with amateur partners. On the weekend, it's "pros only" on Disney's Magnolia Golf Course.

Back to Question List

Why is there not a tee time available on the course I want?

Many days are quite busy on the courses, so we recommend you reserve a tee time as far in advance as possible. Your tee time request may not be available due to a group golf event reserved that day or because of routine course maintenance needed to keep our courses in excellent condition.

Back to Question List

Do I need a tee time or can I just walk up?

We certainly try to accommodate walk-up golfers. Even on busy days, there may be an occasional golfer who does not show up for a tee time. If you are a single or a twosome, you will have the best chance to play. However, it is always best to reserve a tee time online or call the Golf Master Starter-even if it is just a few hours before you plan to walk up.

Back to Question List

Is there a cart fee in addition to the stated golf greens fees?

No. We never add a cart fee in addition to a player′s greens fee. Your greens fee provides the use of an electric golf cart-normally shared by 2-equipped with a small cooler, a sand bucket to fill divots, front windshields and rear pull-down club covers (in case of a passing shower).

Back to Question List

What if I have a non-player who wants to ride along?

We do allow non-player riders-for a nominal fee of $15. This fee covers the costs of providing a golf cart and insures against the rare golfer who brings his or her own gallery. We try to preserve an excellent golf experience for every golfing Guest!

Back to Question List

Do you have a GPS Yardage System on your golf carts?

We offer the state-of-the-art UpLink Global Positioning Satellite system, with a full color monitor on each cart-providing precise yardages, hole diagrams, pin locations and other useful information to add enjoyment for the player. This also helps maintain an enjoyable pace of play for all the players on each course. The GPS system is available on all 4 Championship Golf Courses.

Back to Question List

Is transportation provided from Disney Resorts to the golf courses?

Transportation to and from the golf courses is available with complimentary taxi vouchers from select Walt Disney World Resort hotels. This service is not offered by the non-Disney owned and operated hotels on the Walt Disney World property. Complimentary transportation is for regular play only. It is not available for group play, group outings and tournaments.

Back to Question List

What is the dress code?

Men are required to wear slacks or Bermuda-length shorts and either sports shirts or collarless golf shirts. T-shirts, sleeveless shirts, and shirts in poor taste are not permitted. Women are required to wear Bermuda-length shorts. Women may wear sleeveless shirts. Tank-tops or tube-tops are not permitted.

Back to Question List

What types of shoes and spikes are permitted?

To preserve the high quality of our greens, we require the use of metal spike alternatives such as soft spikes or spikeless golf shoes on our courses. Tennis shoes and other relatively flat, rubber-soled shoes are also permitted-provided that they do not have significant ridges, waffle patterns or a prominent heel.

Back to Question List

Are rental clubs and shoes available?

We offer Titleist  and Cobra club rentals and FootJoy golf shoe rentals. We provide golf tees, so all you need is golf balls and a golf glove if desired. We offer an excellent selection in each golf course pro shop. Rental clubs are available for men and women-in both right and left-handed models. Junior clubs are available at Disney's Oak Trail Golf Course . Rental clubs and shoes do not need to be reserved in advance.

Back to Question List

Is golf club sharing permitted?

We ask that each Guest has his or her own bag and clubs to help keep up the pace of play on our courses. We do offer loaner golf bags at no charge for Guests who condense their clubs and leave their bulky bags at home for travel.

Back to Question List

How long will my round take? What is the normal pace of play?

Our courses  are USGA pace-rated between 4 hours, 15 minutes and 4 hours, 35 minutes. We have Player Assistants on the courses at busy times to help monitor the pace, and our GPS system provides pace information to all golfers.

Back to Question List

What if I′m late for my tee time?

Yes. In order to give all our Guests the opportunity to play, we do try to pair players into foursomes whenever practical. This promotes a consistent pace of play. For less-skilled golfers who are worried about being paired up, we recommend the 9-hole walking Disney′s Oak Trail Golf Course .

Back to Question List

What if I′m late for my tee time?

We recommend planning ahead to arrive at least 30 minutes prior to your tee time to allow for check-in at the pro shop, assigning golf carts and a healthy warm-up. If you are unavoidable detained and arrive late, our golf staff will do their best to accommodate you whenever possible.

Back to Question List

What if I have to cancel my tee time or reduce my number of players?

Tee times must be canceled and party sizes must be reduced at least 48 hours in advance to avoid possible payment penalty. Tee times canceled-or left unreduced-inside of 48 hours are subject to be charged to the credit card provided when reservations were made. We encourage golfers to call the master starter at (407) WDW-GOLF or (407) 939-4653 to cancel or modify party size-even if you are inside the 48 hour window. Those who made tee time reservations online may also cancel online .

Back to Question List

Why do you require a credit card with my tee time reservation?

Your card is not charged when the reservation is made. It is subject to being charged, as stated above, if you do not cancel at least 48 hours in advance of your tee time. Unfortunately, we have found that if the credit card is not required with a reservation, a larger number of golfers tend not to show up for their tee times. Golfers who do not show up take away opportunities for other Guests who would like to play.

Back to Question List

Do you store and transfer my clubs to your other courses?

Yes, we do store your clubs and transfer clubs from one Disney course to another Disney course at the beginning of each day. There is no fee for this service.

Back to Question List

Is walking to play the courses an option?

To provide an enjoyable pace of play, we require players to use our golf carts. Carts are included in the greens fees for our 4 Championship Golf Courses. For Guests who prefer to walk the entire course, we recommend Disney's Oak Trail Golf Course -a 9-hole walking course. Pull-carts are available to rent at Disney′s Oak Trail Golf Course.

Back to Question List

What if it rains and I can′t finish my round?

We provide you with a rain-check to return and complete or restart your round-based on the number of holes played.

Back to Question List

Do you have locker rooms and shower facilities at the courses?

Yes, we have lockers and shower facilities for both men and women at each of our golf facilities. Please see the pro shop staff for a locker key. There is no fee for lockers.

Back to Question List

Are there food and beverage carts on the golf courses?

Yes, we have food and beverage cart service on our golf courses every day. Carts offer assorted beverages, snacks, sandwiches and cigars.

Back to Question List

Can I bring a cooler with my own beverages?

No. Personal coolers and any type of food or beverage storage devices are not permitted on our courses. Each golf cart is equipped with a cooler, and your cart host or hostess will be happy to fill it with ice and add your beverage selections from her cart. Comfort stations on the golf courses are also equipped with ice machines, cups and water fountains.

Back to Question List

We have 5 players, can we play as a fivesome?

We can accommodate any size party or group of golfers. However, we limit players to a maximum of 4 Guests per tee time. A party of 5 would be booked as a threesome and twosome, with the understanding that each of these may be paired to fill out foursomes for each tee time.
